“Varna Varuna Anavarana” – Art exhibition by artists of Mangalore

On 19th of August 2016, Mangaluru has experienced a Monsoon breeze of Art. "Varna Varuna Anavarana" an art exhibition by 22 artists of "Karavali Chithra Kalavidara Chavadi, Mangaluru" was inaugurated by lighting the lamp by D. M. Ravikumar, Assistant Director, Dept of Kannada & Culture and Mrs. Nayana Britto Fernandes of Mangaluru at Prasad Art Gallery, Mangaluru. This great inauguration was witnessed by BWS Artist Ganesh Somayaji and Kotiprasad Alva and many other artists and the shining artworks.

Mrs. Nayana Fernandes highlighted the importance of Art in human life and she called up on the art teachers to nourish the schoolchildren in art, which will help them to be a better citizen. Every human is an artist and his surroundings shape him in to the person he is. She suggested the artists combine and Chavadi to interact with the builders of Mangaluru to invest them to install at least one artwork to enrich the interior of a home. She wished every household to have at least one Art work on their wall.

Asst. Director Ravikumar announced an Artist Camp for the artists of Mangalore in the next coming months at the newly built Tulu bhavana.

Varna Varuna Anavarana | Beauty Wall

Artist Dinesh Holla was honoured for his international for his international accomplishments and his service to upliftment of tribals. He is leaving to France on 7th of September for the 32nd International Kite Festival. Artist Dinesh Holla is presenting a 32 ft canvas on Indian Tribal art which will be auctioned on the final day of the festival. And the proceeds of the auction is earmarked for the education and welfare measures of the Indian Tribal Children.
